What is a CBL Membership?

The CBL Athlete Membership is an annual membership that is required for all athletes participating in any Combat Life™ Event.

The CBL Athlete Membership was built to give parents confidence that every athlete competing in a CBL event will be competing on a level playing field. Every athlete member is age-verified, every match result is validated, and every CBL athlete is backed by an accident coverage and general liability plan, so your family can focus on the competition, not the what-ifs. Athlete safety and competition integrity is the CBL Gold Standard.

Membership Benefits Include:

Accident Coverage: Registered CBL Athlete Members in good standing are covered under an accident coverage plan provided by Great American Insurance Group, and a general liability plan provided by Sirius Point Ltd for the duration of their membership. Coverage applies exclusively when competing in CBL-sanctioned events. The group accident coverage applies on a first-dollar basis for covered accidents, with benefits up to $25,000 per occurrence. For full coverage terms, limitations, and exclusions, please refer to the Certificate of Insurance provided upon enrollment.

Age/Division Verification: All CBL Athletes must complete the age-verification process and maintain a verified athlete profile to be eligible for competition.

Fair Competition Participation: All CBL events will feature only CBL Membered Athletes that have been approved for age verification and accurate division placement to promote fairness, integrity, and athlete safety in competition.

Transparent Athlete Ranking Eligibility: All CBL Member Athletes’ match results will be confirmed and verified utilizing their unique athlete profile. These verified match results are used in CBL Power Rankings as well as future event division and schedule creation, designed to promote transparency and proper matchups.
