How to View Messages
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Press the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the Messages icon on the bottom navigation.
Navigate between the Email or Chat tabs at the top.
Use the Filter icon to narrow down your search.
How to Create a New Chat
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Select the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the Message icon on the bottom navigation.
While in the Chat tab, press the Compose icon in the upper right corner.
Enter the Chat Name. This will be the title of the chat you're creating.
Enter your chat’s Initial Message.
Add your recipients to your chat.
Entire Team: Create a chat with the guardians, athletes, coaches & managers from a team.
All Non-Athletes: Create a chat with the guardians, coaches & managers from a team.
Coaches: Create a chat with the coaches & managers from a team.
Individually Select: Pick the recipients from specific teams that you would like to start a chat with.
Confirm your recipient list.
Press Start Chat.
How to View the Recipients of a Chat
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Select the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the Message icon on the bottom navigation.
Select your message by pressing on the Message tile.
Press the Recipient icon found right below the chat name. This usually says "# people".
How to Add a User to a Chat
NOTE: Users that are added to a chat will not have access to view messages sent prior to their inclusion into the chat.
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Select the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the Message icon on the bottom navigation.
Select the chat to add users to.
Press the Drop-Down icon under the chat name.
Press the Add icon.
Select the type of recipient(s) you wish to add.
Select the team that they are associated with.
Confirm and add by pressing Add to Chat in the upper right corner.
How to Create a New Email
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Select the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the Message icon on the bottom navigation.
While on the Email tab, press the Compose icon in the upper right corner.
Add the recipients of the email.
Entire Team: Create a chat with the guardians, athletes, coaches & managers from a team.
All Non-Athletes: Create a chat with the guardians, coaches & managers from a team.
Coaches: Create a chat with the coaches & managers from a team.
Individually Select: Pick the recipients from specific teams that you would like to start a chat with.
Confirm the number of recipients, and press Compose Email.
Subject: This field is required.
Allow recipients to reply-all: You may toggle this on to allow recipients to reply to everyone on the email. However, if the sender list is greater than 100, then the toggle will automatically default to off.
Type your message.
Press Send.
How to Copy an Email Message
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Select the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the Inbox icon on the bottom navigation.
Press Email in the top Navigation.
Select your email by pressing on the Email tile.
Press the Copy icon in the upper right corner.
How to Message a Team
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Select the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the My Teams icon on the bottom navigation.
Select a team.
Press the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen.
Press the Message icon.
Select the Message Type.
Confirm recipients, and press compose.
Create your email
Press send in the upper right corner of the screen.
How to Send Communication with Attendance-Based Filters as a Coach or Team Manager
Sign in to your PlayerFirst Club App.
Press the Schedule icon on the bottom navigation.
Select the event you want to send communication for by pressing on the Event Tile.
Press the Attendance tab.
In the top right corner, press the kebob button. Press Send Message.
Select Email as the message type.
On the New Email screen, enable the Use Attendance-Based Filters field.
Select the attendance status(es) to filter by for your email, then select Guardians and Athletes or Guardians Only.
Confirm the recipients, then compose your message.
How to Silence Chats
Sign in to your PlayerFirst Club App.
Press the Message Icon on the bottom navigation.
Swipe right on the chat you want to update. Select Mute to mute it. Select Muted to unmute it.
How to Pin and Unpin Chats
How to Pin a Chat
Sign in to your PlayerFirst Club App.
Select the Message Icon on the bottom navigation.
Swipe right on the chat you want to pin. Select Pin.
How to Unpin a Chat
Sign in to your PlayerFirst Club App.
Select the Message Icon on the bottom navigation.
Select the chat you want to unpin.
While in the chat, select the drop-down arrow under the chat name.
Select Unpin.
How to Search for Messages
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Select the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the Message icon on the bottom navigation.
Press the Search Bar to search for a message.
Note: The Search Bar can be used to search all messages, including archived messages.
How to Archive a Message
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Select the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the Message icon on the bottom navigation.
Press the box to the left of the message you want to archive, and press the File Storage icon.
OR
Swipe left on the message you want to archive, and press Archive.Your message will automatically be archived.
How to Archive/Open all Messages
NOTE: Users are unable to delete messages. If a user wants to clear their inbox, they can archive messages.
Sign-in to the PlayerFirst Club app.
Select the profile you wish to access by pressing the profile tile.
Press the Message icon on the bottom navigation.
Press the grey box to the left of the search bar to select all of your messages.
Press the File Storage icon to archive messages or the Envelope icon to open messages.
Your message(s) will automatically be archived or opened.
NOTE: This process can take time, and you can monitor progress by swiping down to refresh the page.
