Managing Your PlayerFirst Site's Menu

Where to Manage Menus and Pages for Your Website

  1. Sign in to a PlayerFirst website.

  2. After signing in, go to the homepage of the site.

    • To get to the homepage from the dashboard click the PlayerFirst logo in the top right corner, then click Homepage.

  3. On the homepage, you’ll see the Navigation Editor along the left-hand side of the screen. Click the Menus tab.

  4. On the Menus tab, select the menu that needs to be edited.

    • Primary Nav: The navigation that is displayed between your brand logo and the cart.

      • The Primary Nav has a limit of 8 Live items.

    • Secondary Nav: The navigation that is displayed above the Primary Nav.

    • Footer Menu 1, 2, & 3: The navigation that is displayed at the bottom of the site. Footer Menu 1 will be the leftmost menu of the three, Footer Menu 2 will be in the middle, and Footer Menu 3 will be the rightmost menu.

    • Uncategorized: These are pages that are not assigned to a menu.

      • NOTE: All menus can host live and draft pages.

How to Add a New Page or Link to a Menu

  1. Sign in to a PlayerFirst website.

  2. Click on the PlayerFirst Logo in the top right corner and click Home Page.

  3. On the homepage, you’ll see a navigation bar along the left side of the screen. Click the Menus button.

  4. Within the selected menu type, click the + sign towards the top of the tab to add a new page or link. The following options will be available to be added…

Custom Link: Add a link to an external site.

  1. Click the Custom Link option.

  2. In the Name field, give the link a Name for your page.

  3. In the Link field, type a Link to an external site.

  4. Click Save.

Program(s) Link: Add a link that will take users to a list of programs, or a single program page.

  1. Click the Program(s) option.

  2. In the Name field, give the link a Name for your page.

  3. Choose Filters to your programs be displayed on page.

  4. Click Save.

Team Page: Add a link that will take users to a list of teams, or a single team page.

  1. Click on the Team(s) option.

  2. In the Name field, give the link a Name for your page.

  3. Select Multiple or Single.

  4. Under Programs, choose the Team(s) to be displayed.

  5. Click Save.

Waiver: Add a link that will take users to a Quick Waiver or Roster Waiver.

  1. Click on the Waiver option.

  2. In the Name field, give the link a Name for your page.

  3. Select Quick Waiver or Roster Waiver.

  4. Choose Program.

  5. Click Save.

Menu Header: A blank page that contains no content, and is not clickable by visitors of your site.

  1. Click on the Menu Header option.

  2. In the Name field, give the link a Name for your page.

  3. Click Save.

How to Change the Order of Menu Items on Your Website

  1. Sign in to a PlayerFirst website, and go to the site’s homepage.

  2. On the homepage, you’ll see a navigation bar along the left side of the screen. Click the Menus tab.

  3. On the Menus tab, select the menu type that needs to be edited.

  4. Within the selected menu type, the list of pages within the navigation will be displayed. To the left of each page title, click and drag the item to order it accordingly.

    • When moving a parent page, the nested pages will move as well.

How to Move a Page or Link from one Nav to Another

  1. Sign in to a PlayerFirst website, and go to the site’s homepage.

  2. On the homepage, you’ll see a navigation bar along the left side of the screen. Click the Menus button.

  3. On the Menus tab, use the search bar at the top of the tab to find the page that needs to be moved.

  4. Hover over the page, then click the Breadcrumb button. Click Move.

  5. Use the Group dropdown to select the menu type the page should be moved to.

    • Use the Page dropdown if the page should be nested under a parent page.

  6. Click Move.

How to Remove a Page or Link from a Menu

  1. Sign in to a PlayerFirst website, and go to the site’s homepage.

  2. On the homepage, you’ll see a navigation bar along the left side of the screen. Click the Menus button.

  3. On the Menus tab, select the menu that needs to be edited, or use the search bar at the top of the tab to find the page that needs to be removed.

  4. Hover over the page, then click the Breadcrumb button. Click Remove.

    1. Anything that is removed will be moved to Uncategorized.

NOTE: Clicking Delete will permanently delete the page. It is advised to remove pages, rather than delete.

How to Toggle a Page Between Draft and Live

  1. Sign in to a PlayerFirst website, and go to the site’s homepage.

  2. On the homepage, you’ll see a navigation bar along the left side of the screen. Click the Menus button.

  3. On the Menus tab, use the search bar at the top of the tab to find the page that needs to be edited.

  4. Hover over the page, then click the Breadcrumb button.

  5. If the Set Live field is enabled, the page is live. Toggle this field on and off to set a page as live or a draft.
