How to Add Maps and Custom Pages to Your Event on the Access App

Access App: Adding Maps and Other Tabs

Admin can customize what displays inside the PlayerFirst Access App for a specific event from that event's Edit Access App Content page, which is organized into tabs for App Settings, Custom Pages, and Maps.

1. How to Add a Custom Page

  1. Sign in to a PlayerFirst website.

  2. On the left navigation, click Communication > Access App.

  3. On the Access App Management page, find your event in the Leagues & Tournaments table.

  4. Click the Pencil Icon.

  5. On the Edit Access App Content page, click the Custom Pages tab.

  6. Click Add Custom Page.

  7. Under Visibility on Access App, enter a Title*.

  8. Set Visibility:

    • Hidden

    • Show During Event Dates

    • Custom Date Range (enter Start Showing / Stop Showing dates)

  9. Check Staff Access Only if the page should appear only in the staff app.

  10. Under Page Content, enter the page body using the rich text editor.

  11. Click Save Changes.

2. How to Add a Map

  1. Sign in to a PlayerFirst website.

  2. On the left navigation, click Communication > Access App.

  3. On the Access App Management page, find your event in the Leagues & Tournaments table.

  4. Click the Pencil Icon.

  5. On the Edit Access App Content page, click the Maps tab.

  6. Click Create New Map.

  7. Under Location Association, select a Location*. If the location doesn't exist yet, click the plus-icon Add Location button to create one (this navigates away to the location editor).

  8. Under Map Information, enter a Map Name* (defaults to the location name if left blank) and an optional Location Details note (parking, transportation, entry requirements, etc.).

  9. Under Map Display, choose a Map Type:

    • Google Maps

    • Image Based Map — upload a Map Image (PNG, JPG, or PDF)

    • PDF Map — upload a PDF (see note below)

    • Google Maps Overlay — upload an Overlay Map Image and enter Top Left/Bottom Right Latitude/Longitude. See How To Use Map Overlay for setup guidance.

Click Save Changes.

NOTE: A PDF Map upload isn't stored or displayed as a PDF — only the first page is converted to a cropped PNG image before it's shown in the app.

NOTE: Map order and per-map visibility toggles exist in the underlying data but aren't currently exposed in this UI — new maps display in creation order and are always visible.

NOTE: Maps are matched by their Map Name, not a hidden ID. Renaming a map, or having two maps with the same name, can cause an edit or delete action to affect the wrong map.
